Proceeds of Crime

Proceeds of crime offences involve the handling, possession, or dealing with money or property obtained through criminal activity. These offences range from low-level suspicions to serious cases of money laundering.

Lesser offences involving suspected proceeds of crime are usually heard in the Magistrates’ Court. Serious cases, especially those involving large sums of money or deliberate attempts to conceal criminal property, are dealt with in the County Court.
